Steiner Transporte – Digitalization Program for a Transport Company

Starting point

Steiner Transporte has grown, and with the routes the office work grows too. In a workshop in October 2026 we looked at day-to-day work together with the owner and sorted the ideas by benefit. The result:

• Clear levers in the inbox, billing and coordination with the drivers
• The tools are already there, they just need to work together
• A step-by-step roadmap instead of off-the-shelf software

Solution

This became a four-month digitalization program. We are on site for half a day every two weeks, with a Teams channel in between.

• Tidy up the office: inbox, calendar and deadlines get fixed rules.
• Money at a glance: the accounting software is connected to the banks and payments are reconciled.
• First automations: incoming orders go straight to the right person. How such AI automations (German) are built is covered in our guide.
• AI Driver’s License: an AI lesson on real tasks at every on-site visit. More in our post on the AI Driver’s License under Art. 4 AI Act.

Technology stack

• ChatGPT connected to Outlook and OneDrive
• Microsoft 365 as the shared foundation
• Accounting software connected to the bank

Result & Impact

The program starts with an on-site kick-off on November 10, 2026. The goal is an office that takes noticeably less time and an owner with more time for customers, drivers and growth.
