Digitalization Program / AI Driver's License

Elektro Sever – Digitalization Program with AI Driver's License for an Electrical Contractor

A six-month digitalization program for Elektro Sever from Stuttgart: from the workshop and a clear roadmap to an AI Driver's License with Claude, plus automations and a digital foundation in Microsoft 365. With on-site support every two weeks.

Elektro Sever – Digitalization Program with AI Driver's License for an Electrical Contractor

Starting point

Elektro Sever is growing: more projects, larger construction sites, a team of more than 100 people. Management therefore did not want to leave digitalization to chance, but to approach it with a clear plan and put AI to serious use in the business.

It started with a full-day digitalization workshop in October 2026 with management, project leads and the office team. What the day delivered:

  • More than 30 ideas from day-to-day work, rated by benefit and effort, in other words by where the investment pays off fastest.
  • Clear priorities: first a clean digital foundation, then AI in daily work, then automations.
  • A roadmap for the coming months, captured in a digital blueprint with recommendations and answers to the team’s open questions.
  • AI becomes tangible: the team did not want lectures, but help with their own tasks. That is exactly where the AI Driver’s License comes in.

Solution

The blueprint turned into a six-month digitalization program. We support Elektro Sever as a dedicated partner: on site every two weeks, with a regular meeting and short lines of communication in between. Several building blocks run in parallel:

  • AI Driver’s License: a pilot group from management and project leadership learns Claude on their own tasks, in hands-on sessions on site and one-to-one sessions at their desks. Rules and data protection are settled from the start. What the AI Driver’s License needs to cover legally is explained in our post on the AI Driver’s License under Art. 4 AI Act.
  • Digital foundation: filing, tasks and HR topics get a shared structure in Microsoft 365.
  • Automations: recurring processes between construction site and office will run automatically. How such AI automations (German) are built is covered in our guide.
  • Connect systems instead of replacing them: the existing ERP system and industry software stay. We work with the vendors on how to connect the data instead of introducing new silos.

Why this works: we come from implementation. We build software, automations and AI solutions ourselves and know what holds up in the day-to-day of a trades business. That is why we start with what is already there and paid for, and only introduce what proves itself on real data.

Technology stack

  • Claude Team as the AI workspace for the pilot group, connected to Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft 365 with SharePoint, Teams and Copilot as the shared foundation
  • Integration of the existing ERP system and industry software
  • Automations between construction site, project leads and office

Result & Impact

The program has been running since the kick-off on October 22, 2026. After the first two weeks:

  • Almost 20 tasks completed, tracked in a shared log
  • Claude Team set up for the pilot group, with clear rules and agreed data protection documentation
  • First hands-on session of the AI Driver’s License on site; since then, everyone has been working on a task of their own
  • Clarity on connecting the existing systems, as the basis for the next steps

The goals for the coming months: less time in the office and more time for customers and construction sites, AI as a fixed part of daily work, processes between site and office that run on their own, and project control that makes revenue and costs visible earlier. Progress is measured from week one, with monthly reports and reviews in December and April.
